Privacy Policy

Who we are
LinkMeToPro (“we”, “us”) is a global skill-exchange platform at linkmetopro.com. Members teach each other what they know and learn what they want — for free — and can optionally book paid sessions with verified Pros. This policy explains what information we collect, why, and the choices you have.
What we collect
- Account details — your name, email address, profile photo, city and country, languages, and the skills you teach and want to learn. Your year of birth is collected to confirm age and is never shown to other members.
- Sign-in with LinkedIn or Google — if you join through one of these providers, they share your name, email address, and profile photo with us. We use those only to create and prefill your profile; we never post to your accounts or access your contacts.
- Messages — conversations you have with other members, so we can deliver them and act on safety reports.
- Bookings and payments — if you book a Pro session, our payment provider Stripe processes your card. We never see or store your card number; we keep only the booking details and payment status.
- Verification documents — if you apply to become a Pro, the ID and certificates you upload are stored privately and are visible only to our review team.
How we use it
- To match you with members who teach what you want to learn.
- To deliver messages, notifications, and booking confirmations.
- To review Pro applications and keep the community safe.
- To understand overall usage and improve the product.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not show third-party advertising.
What other members see
Your profile — name, photo, location, languages, skills, references and ratings — is visible to other members so they can find you. You can hide your profile from discovery at any time in Settings → Privacy & safety, and you can block individual members.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of service providers to run LinkMeToPro: Supabase (database and authentication), Vercel (hosting), and Stripe (payments). They process data only on our instructions. We may also disclose information if the law requires it or to protect the safety of our members.
How long we keep it
We keep your information while your account exists. When you delete your account, your profile, messages, and personal data are removed — see our data deletion page for exactly how. Payment records may be retained where financial regulations require it.
Your rights
You can view and edit your profile at any time, export what you have shared, delete your account permanently from Settings → Account, and — depending on where you live — you may have additional rights such as access, correction, and portability under laws like the GDPR. To exercise any of these, use the in-app Help & support section.
Changes
If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify you in the app before they take effect.
